What’s the legal minimum tread depth in the UK?
The law requires at least 1.6 mm of tread across the central three-quarters of your tyre’s width. However, for best grip and safety — especially in wet conditions — we recommend replacing tyres once tread drops below 3 mm. Our free tyre check can measure this for you accurately.

Yes — we offer free tyre safety checks for all customers, whether or not you’re buying new tyres.
During the check, we’ll inspect your tread depth, tyre pressure, and overall tyre condition, and provide honest, no-obligation advice.

We also check your vehicle’s TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) sensors free of charge — including battery health and ensuring they’re reading accurately.
